The windows movie maker is one of the simplest and basic you will find.
To make a more advanced movie such as to make it look like a dream as you said, will most likely require a more complicated program with more advanced features.
You might want to have a look at adobe premiere, its not cheap though at around $900 but can produce very professional movies.

well first of all, your movie has to be saved in a file on your computer. next open windows movie maker, and click " import video." you click the file, and import the whole movie. Once the movie is imported, there will be little clips of your movie. drag the clips down to the timeline in whatever order you want them to be at the bottom of the screen. Now, to add a song, and u want it to be the middle of the song, click and drag the song to the clip you want it to be in.. next, at the ends of the song, you will see two little arrows. You click on those, and drag it left to right depending on how long, or which part of the song you want it to be. To make sure, just click on the clip part and press play, and you will hear what part it is. :) Good luck!

Don't know how well I can explain this. As for having the music start at a different point. Import the song you want to use. Drag it into the timelime (where you put your video clips)
Put your mouse on the edge of the song clip and you'll see a double sided arrow. You can drag the line to the point where you want the song to begin. Then slide the box of the song clip to the part of the video you want the song to begin.

WMM is brilliant. Read the "help " section...it should help you a lot. I made a movie using WMM and it reduced my family to tears it was so good. You can import music at any point in the movie....fade in and out....anything. Stay with it and read up on it...it's worth it.

Remember not to display any coherent written matters-written words and sentences to not make any sense in dreams. Refer to Dali's work of art where it focuses on objects and symbols.
