Especially with this war. Is it possible that we may upset our families??? They may feel I am in love with the enemy. But he isnt like that. He is very smart. Loving, and a lawyer. Please help.

1. Hey, lighten up. The war is only in the mind of Dubya and his cronies. Don't get carried away by the scare-mongers.
2. Turkey is an ally of the west. It is a member of NATO, and it has applied to join the European Union.
3. No country is homogeneous. There are differences of opinion in every country. So there will be supporters or opponents of the so-called "War on Terror" in Turkey, and also in the USA. The Republicans didn't do too well in the mid-term elections, now did they? Open your eyes, and don't categorise people according to where they live. Think about it - that's prejudice.
4. The success of your relationship depends on the two of you. Commitment is just that - you put him before everyone else, and he puts you before everyone else.
5. Just try and understand a little more about each other's culture, it will help.

turkey is not at war with america?!?! turkish people go to america,live there study there..so do the americans.. why do you think like that?even our politics now are dependent on america (which we hate but true).. turkey is a different country from iraq or iran..yes there are some fanatic narrow-minded people but they are in every country!! turkish people does not have a bad idea about american people(not bush)..i think you don't know enough about turkey..there wouldn't be such a problem relax and make a little research if your family thinks so too..

well seriously Turkey and Turkish r very different than ur thinking i know because u dont know a lot of things we can see it in here Turkey is very modern laic democratic country life standarts r better than a lot of european country and very closer, people r nice and MOSTLY educaded, has great culture and history. of course there r good men bad men good people bad people like ur country and my answer is why not?
