Hi Kim: One thing you learn very early on in life is to be very selective about your friends.... If a person is your friend, they should be there 24-7, be trustworthy with every secret you tell them, defend you till the nth degree, accept you for the good and bad(unconditionally) and never betray you.
If these persons who you so call friends don't meet this criteria, then you have acquaintances and they are not friends... We are lucky if in a life time you have 1 or 2 at the most good friends.
Sometimes people are too afraid to stand alone and be counted, they have to blend in the pack and be counted like sheep.....If you must stand alone and do not worry about here say and talk, sooner than later one of them will be ousted from the group and they will be the new gossip.
find some new interests where you can meet real people who are strong and have good souls... these are the ones who can developer into best friends...

Honey, take my word for it: they are not your real friends. I have been in the exact same situation as you, and let me tell you something, it hurts, it really does. To spend your time trusting someone and then later finding out they are not trustworthy at all. A good friend supports your decision, defends you if anyone puts you down and does NOT... I repeat, does NOT backstab you! I used to have "friends" like that, and I kept debating on whether to stay friends with them or not, which I did for another year or so, then when I found out they were making fun of my clothes, and the fact that I'm married (and they're not) I was like, forget it! They're not worth it, I can do SO much better than them! Drop your friends while you can, trust me, it will be tough. But I tell you from experience, if you stay friends with them, you are bound to get hurt again, and you don't deserve it. Nobody does.

They backstab you because they aren't your friends. True friends make mistakes but don't continuously make them over and over again.
If they were your friends, they'd respect you and your feelings. What you should do is, leave them behind. Find new friends, be more expressive, and stand up for yourself. Don't allow yourself to be put in a position where you're unhappy.

They aren't true friends! You really need to find a new circle to hang out with. Also there is the unfortunate "guilt by association" too so others might think you are doing the same...

Good Luck

Good Question, best answer is they are evil and never was your friend in the first place, a user for their own gain, people like that will never get any where in life. Remember what goes around, comes around.

Because people suck ... You have to really dig deep to find worthy friends but they are out there! Better to have just a couple of good friends then a bunch of idiots that will hurt you in the end!

Leave them alone and move on with your life! You don't deserve to have friends like that and it seems to me that they're not considerate of your feelings and continue to stab you in the back! Misery loves company; try to talk to them about it, but if it continues, frienship is over! Good luck to you!

sounds like high school drama...

Honestly think about the big picture..... once everyone is seniors nobody will care about the drama.... its not nesscary

I could understand forgiving them once MAYBE twice but there is no reason for a third chance...!

Me and my friends used to be like that..... i think you might just grow out of it.... but untill that happens dont even mess with it!

You should drop them before something bad happens. You'd tried talking to them but it failed. What else can you do. And girls just do stuff like that usually to be cool or because they dont care.

Just don't be friends with them anymore....your life will be better without them!!! They are NOT friends if they are backstabbers and telling your secrets... True friends stab you in the front!
