One person's idea of beauty is another's tacky, right? =) But here are some ideas I found that I didn't think were too bad (and there ARE bad ones out there!)

These are for sale, but a crafty person could make them easily:

Although I'm Jewish, I LOVE the idea of a Christmas wedding! I think you can do whatever you want and play up the Christmas theme any way you want to, but if you're not as into the red and green thing, you can lean more towards the winter thing. With a few hints about Christmas thrown in, everyone will get what you're driving at. There are lots and lots of wedding books with winter wedding theme ideas. Snowflakes, blue and white decorations, silver glitter, a horse and carriage to take you to and from the ceremony, serving warm punch (especially if it's cold), and candy canes are just some of the ideas I can think of right now. I say go with it and check out the books for ideas!

Go to www.hgtv.com and type "Temari tree ornament" into the search box to see examples of some beautiful Japanese thread balls and complete instructions. These take a lot of patience but the results are fabulous and classy.
