It's a scam. As a rule of thumb, if you receive an unsolicited communication through email from anyone (especially if it claims to give you something out of nothing), then most likely than not, IT'S A SCAM. There are email scams that come in all sorts of form: you won the lottery (even without buying a ticket, huh!), someone died and wants to leave you millions and millions of dollars (and they just happened to decide to leave that money to you, a complete stranger), and stupid stuff like that. Don't reply to any of those emails, or they'll just keep sending you more garbage.

Most of these can be discredited via sites that post similiar prank letters. It's a prank I believe.
Try www.snopes.com see if you can find a similar letter there??

It's a scam, as you probably already figured. Here's some info about it from snopes.com (a great site, by the way):

It is SOOOO fake. Don't respond. They probably just want your e-mail address so they can sell it to big companies who buy for BIG BUCKS. John T. says to say it is viruses.
