I know people love South Park but I personally love Family Guy.

I don't really think the two are even comparable. Personally if I would have to pick if they were on at the same time I would watch family guy because it has more episodes that are hillarious. Southpark is almost like a political satire on current events. It actually is very up to date on what is going on as well as showcasing what the creators think about topics in a comedic way. Family guy on the other hand now is just a compilation of pop culture references where one of the characters says "that was like that the time when...." I am of course referring to the new Family Guy episodes. In my opinion the older episodes are much better and have stories. In short Family Guy is a show that is made for the masses and WAS worth watching from 2003 back. Southpark, I think has actually gotten better with age and you need to think somewhat to understand why it is funny.

South Park is the better show for "everyone." I think Family Guy is geared more for the older teens and up.

I like Family Guy better, but it's all dependant on personal taste. South Park is violently funny and it has a lot of cursing, whereas Family Guy is like The Simpsons, it's stupid funny

South Park made a whole two-parter episode where Cartman was angry at Family Guy and wanted them taken off the air. "I am NOTHING like Family Guy!"
I would have to say South Park, because the episode plots seem to make more sense.
