-Why do you want this job? (find out as much about the company as possible before the interview, so you can say something concrete).

-what experience do you have in....(they'll usually pull up something that was NOT on your resume) Just sound confident, or if you don't have experience, be honest. let them know you ARE eager to learn, though.

-what are your biggest weaknesses? Here, you don't want to be TOO honest as in ("well, on weekends, I get really drunk," or "I can't focus on work!"). Choose something NON-work-related, or say you're a "perfectionist" (if you really are).

-What other skills can you bring to this position? (again, list stuff that wasn't on your resume or elaborate on it. Use examples that could help their company).

-What do you expect from us (the supervisors, company, etc.)?
Go for answers such as, "I'd like it if people are open to questions. I prefer being told right away if I'm doing something incorrectly, as opposed to later. I like honesty in communication."

-There will often be a "sucker punch" or surprise question. If you can't answer it, say, "Wow! that's an interesting question. Let me think for a minute. Then answer as best you can. If you really can't, then admit it, especially if it's about something technical and you don't know the answer.

Good luck!

Never ask what the pay is or what your benefits are until you've got an offer.

In the opening interview:

Ask why the position is available. (did someone leave, get fired or promoted or is this a new position)

When do you anticipate needing someone to start?

Who would I be reporting to? (position not a name)

Is this a salaried position or hourly? (If hourly ask if overtime is available or frowned on)

Is there an opportunity for advancement?
