Why do make up companies bring out foundations that match to your skin and tone? isn't that the whole point of wearing foundation?!! i have found boots number 7 is a great foundation that doesn't make you look tangoed and gives a nice coverage! does anyone else agree with me?

Foudation is purely designed to cover imperfections in your skin tone and any blemishes that you may have. It isn't supposed to alter the colour of your skin although many people make that mistake; often leaving them with an unsightly line around thier jaw where the skin tone on the neck doesn't match the foundation. If you want to give the impression of warmth or colour in the skin its best to do this using a blusher or bronzer. However do this sparingly as we all want to avoid the over made up clown look. The purpose of make up is to enhance your natural beauty not cover it up!!

I agree with ~CAT~, foundation and concealers are not meant to change your skin tone. Just to help bring out your natural beauty. Match your on complexion as close as possible.

If you try to change your colour with makeup you will look fake.

no foundation is meant to cover imperfections and give you flawless natural looking skin, not make you look like your face is two shades darker than your body..
