Is netflix a good deal?

Yes they do have new releases... you can actually have movies on your list that aren't even in the theater yet. As soon as they are on dvd they start sending it out. you must change the order of your list to be one of the first to see it. I have never had to wait for a movie from them, they always have what I want. They recommend movies for you. You create an on going list so if you don't have time to pick one out and you have sent a movie back to them they send you the next movie on your list. You pay a low price, less than you would to rent elsewhere. If there is a problem with a disk and you report it they will send you a replacement that day or the next if the mail has already gone out, before you return the bad copy. I have no complaints at all and if you are a movie person strongly recommend it. Depending on how many movies you go through in a day would make a difference as to what program to choose. Im on the 4 dvds at a time and love it! Hope this information helps.

It's only a good deal if you watch a lot of movies and send them back as soon as you're done with them.

A blockbuster rental is about $4.99. I believe the standard netflix subscription is $20/month. You would need to watch 4 movies per month to break even with Netflix.

If you watch a movie each weekend, stick with your local video rental store. If you watch several movies a week, go with Netflix. Just remember that they send you movies off of a list, so if you are watching movies with a significant other or friends... there isn't the immediate chance of selection based on everyone's wants like in a video store. So -- if you watch several movies per week by yourself, or with someone else who will help update your Netflix list, then go for it.

Just make sure to re-evaluate often that you're getting a good deal for your money.

I love Netflix. They have an unbelievable selection of classics and foreign movies, which makes is easy to learn about cinematic history. I like to build lists that are like mini-festivals centered around either an actor or a director and watch the movies one after another, in the order I predetermine. To me the selection and flexibility are definitely worth the price.

I don't know what Coulson is talking about, I have gotten loads of new releases from Netflix. It is awesome! No late fees, and you don't even pay for postage to ship the movies back. I watch 1-2 movies a week which makes it much cheaper than renting.

Blockbuster.com is a much better deal! You get 3 movies out at a time for only $17.99 Plus you get a free movie coupon for in store use every week. And now they just started a program that if you return the movies you get in the mail to your local store you get a free movie rental. Ant they have tons of movies to choose from, all the new releases. And your first 2 weeks are free. Check it out. You can't beat it.

I love it too and if u r a movie buff and have time to watch them it is a good value. If you have mail pickup at your mailbox that helps expedite the process too.
