I got a great new phone this week that has an mp3 player. I was attempting to find ringtones on the internet and my husband got onto me about downloading ringtones from the internet because there is always strings attached to the word "free". My last phone was bombarded with horoscope text messages because I fell for a "free ringtones" add and I signed up something that charged $30 a month. I am asking this because I do not want to keep making the same mistakes.

Are you looking for free programs or ringtones?
If you are looking for ringtones, I would suggest making your own. Safe, easy, and free. Not sure what kind of phone you have, but check out http://www.howardforums.com/index.php? . Just select the manufacturer of your phone. That is where I found a program for my LG phone. Then I used a bluetooth connection to send the files. Now I can play my MP3s on my phone and make my own ringtones.

it's a bit of a dilemma, you can find loads of sites which allow you to download software in order to download songs and movies free. However, these programmes give you viruses and should not be downloaded (if you still want the sites they're at the bottom) and there are no sites which allow you to download free straight off their site.

He is right, NOTHING is free. If all these companies gave away free cars, trips, computers, cash or even ring tones, they would not be in buisness very long. They are in it to make money, not lose it. They do know the 2 secret words tho to get people come running to them.... SEX & FREE!!!
