Sometimes. It's changed so much from when I was growing up and I'm only 41. Things are dirtier (television shows, streets, etc.). People are not as friendly (helping neighbors, etc.). The unity that used to be America appears to be gone.
It makes me sad sometimes.

Sure, at times.
Watchng the news every night get's so depressing. Even here in Ireland. It's such a small country but there is so much serious crime and road deaths.
However there is some good in the world.
To make myself see the bright side I watch nature programs. They are amazing and always make me wonder at the complexity of mother nature and her creatures.
Also there is some great charity support as well as arts festivals , film festivals, jazz festivals, fun runs, community challenge competitions etc.
Also , where I live (on a farm in the country) if you are in need of help eg. you are sick and you can't look after the animals, all the neighbours chip in.
I remember one time when my dad was sick and I was left to milk 50 cows morning and eveniing, feed 30 horses and clean out stables and there was a cow trying to calve.
Two of our neighbours came over and helped out.
My dad did the same for the same neighbour a few years back.
He had a triple heart bypass and dad milked all his cows as well as our own and looked after everything else for him as well as our own stuff.
When you despair at the state of this world, put on a happy song like
my girl
a funny film like the odd couple
and SMILE

Constantly, but more for my children than myself. However, I remember reading about a catalogue of despair which was found on an Etruscan Vase and dated 2000 years ago so perhaps, it has always been thus. Notwithstanding that, the Global warming business really scares me.

I am upset at the state of the world, but it is humankind to have happiness with suffering. Even if all of a sudden world peace came about, it only takes one person to again start a riot. Humans are so deeply engrained with violence and mob rule, it's in our nature to fight as it is in our nature to protect, defend, love and honour. History shows this time and time again, the state of the world now has not changed, as nations are always at war with each other. Suffering is permanent, all we can do is try to bring peace starting in our homes and communities.

at the start, i think of saying the international being is melancholy is overstated. we've issues and particularly some could be in melancholy, yet many, nonetheless, at the instant are not. Jesus is very drawn to human beings's melancholy. The Bible says that God "supplies glory interior the situation of melancholy". yet, He does this for human beings. as quickly as somebody has a dating with God, by Jesus, God can carry melancholy, even interior the process trials and calamity.

Yes I do everyday. There are so many torturous, cruel things happening everyday that we don't even know about. There are people and animals going through things that we can't even imagine. I was reading where people are still beheaded. In parts of Africa, mothers are being raped in front of their children. And then there is the issue with Animal Welfare. You wouldn't believe what grotesque things animals go through needlessly.

Yes i do.
What is happening to the envoironment is criminal but yet we steadfastly refuse to change our lifestyles which are causing the envoironment to go into meltdown.
The irony is that our lifestyles which we cling on to is the very lifestyle which is causing a third of the population to become depressed.
