OK back home when I had comcast high speed internet, I could download a 4MB to 8MB song in about 10 seconds to about 45 seconds at most & a movie of about 680MB to 800MB would take anywere from 4 hours to 10hours at most but I am in college now & I can only have DIAL-UP in my dorm & songs take about 15 to 30 minutes & MOVIES TAKE OVER A WEEK IN SOME CASES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO IS THEIR ANYTHING I CAN DO TO MAKE IT GO FASTER?!!!!!

nope, that's dial-up for you. Ask them to convert it to an ADSL line, otherwise you are SOL.

Asked my dad about this last night, actually. He said there is some way you can get into the router and "pull the cap off" which will basically freeze everyone else on the system for a few seconds while the file dumps onto your machine at an irrational speed. Its all I know and I hope you can find some help.

yes that is dial up for ya....but one thing i do is make sure in your limewire library, you have you downloads set on dont share...that way no one can upload off of ya..when they upload off of ya this will slow you down even more......just make sure all your stuff in your library is set on dont share....to get your max speed....other than that youll have to up grade...dial up sucks for this type of stuff...good luck ...
