I am 41 weeks pregnant and I had a few questions. I am going in on wed. at 1:00am to be induced but I am having problems now. I have been up all night with diarrhea and feeling sick to my stomach. Sometimes when it feels like I have to go to the bathroom for #2 nothing will come out and other times its diarrhea. I have had a few contractions but nothing major. I am starting to get hungry but I dont want to eat because I am feeling so sick to my stomach. Also at night I didnt sleep because my hips and hands kept going numb and would wake me up within like 30 min of falling asleep because they would start hurting. Did anyone else experience any of these things before they started actual labor? and if so how long after feeling so sick did labor start? I have already called my doc. and I am waiting for him to call back but I was seeking some advice until then. Thanks for all your help!

Yes it is a sign of labor. I vomited and had diarrhea while i was in labor. See if among your many stomach cramps, there is something that you can time at regular intervals. If so, how far apart? Good luck.

I would really go to the doctor or the hospital if docs not in. Something doesnt really sound right there. I cant believe that they've let u go to 41wks. I'd say your probably going into labor. So I'd go just to make sure Plus you might not know how fast the baby will come either.

I definitely wouldn't eat right now just in case you are in labor. You could have a virus. Maybe you should have your doctor check you and he may decide to go ahead and induce. It feels like you have to do #2 when you are in labor. Also if you are not having a c-section when you start to push, push like you are doing # 2. Thats why its better to have an empty stomach.

Sounds like the baby may be laying on a nerve, which does happen and that's why you had the tingling.

I would want to know if this is your first baby. If not your labour could be fairly quick.

Hold on in there but if you start getting more contractions take yourself off to A & E

well with my labor it felt like i had to poop during my contractions...with your hips getting numb its because your pelvic is opening and pressing on nerves down there causing you to go numb..you might end up in the hospital today...and hope you do...CONGRATS!
