➔ Trying to Conceive
Some home pregnancy tests say they can detect the pregnancy hormone up to 4 days before your missed period...but they don't tell you that for each day away from your start date the percentage of accuracy greatly drops. The best results from a home pregnancy test happen on or after the day you expect your period........before that there just may not be enough of the pregnancy hormone at that time to be detectable..... go get a book called Taking Charge of your fertility by Toni Weschler
This book will help you with all of your menstrual and conception questions. It’s for all women - not just women trying to conceive. It covers everything from temperature to mucus checking, etc.. It will help you understand your body and all the myths about it. It will help you time when you are ovulating and the best times to conceive – or not! It tells you how to figure out your cycle and what to expect. My husband and I tried for a year to conceive and nothing happened. The first month I used the book we conceived right away. Now I am due Feb 2. It's about knowing your body and knowing when you are fertile or not. You can pick and choose what you do with your info. Good luck and don't listen the all the myths

Yes, my home pregnancy tests didn't come back positive until the first day of my missed period though the test could work as early as 5 days before a missed period according the box:)

even though you passed your ovulation time and had sexual intercourse at the right time, they do say that you should test on the day your period is due or after.i have been told that first response test are very good u can use this one a day before your period is due. testing too early will lead to a negative result . goodluck to you and your husband all the best and i hope your dream comes true

I think you took the test early. Most hospital lab pregnancy tests do not give accurate results until at least 8-10 days past missed period. You're trying WAY too hard. Chill out (I know its not easy). Good luck!!

There is still a chance. You tested a bit early.
When I got pregnant, I tested in the morning on the day my period was due, and it was neg.
I tested later in the afternoon (I just couldn't wait!) and it was positive.
Wait a few more days, then try again!
And PS, if you're like me, and wanted to test all the time, hit the Dollar Store! I found pregnancy tests there, and they worked.

the nest day my test was positive, already gone for a blood test
123 mUI/ml meaning 3 weeks preg
Ultra sound show my little Boubon hanging
so you just hang on and have another test in 2 days buy the onces that will work 5 days before period

I would do another one on Saturday. It depends what type of test you used because most of them cant detect the pregnancy hormone this early unless its one of them that says it can up to 3 days before your period is due.

LOL! Yes taking a test before a missed period won't show if you are for some reason. There has to be enough HCG in your urine to show positive. Try again and good luck!
