I am not sure what you mean because spice cake is spice cake.
Last night at Bible study I had the most delicious pumpkin cake. A "spice" that is used is pumpkin pie spice which is a combination of nutmeg, cloves, cinnamon, and others I think.

I have nvere heard of a spice cake.but my favoritre cake on thanksgiving is a homemade cake from my sister. It is just a regular cake mix from the store (betty crocker) and she bakes it and that is it . Just simple but, it comes from the heart.

I love pumpkin bread this time of year. It's not exactly the spice cake answer you're looking for, but pumkin bread is one of my favorites.
