will the motherboard take 256 per slot if so then yes some motherboards will only take 64 per, some 128 per and some 256 per

Yes you can but take care beause the speeds should be same otherwise you'll face sum problems...You'll need someone qualifie for that,.... one kin of SDRAM is pc100 mhz whereas the other is pc 133 mhz, these are just the access speeds of those kinda rams and you will have o bring the same linda both rams okay........

yes. but if one of the bus speed is lower then they will both drop to that speed. i.e. it may be quicker just to have the 256. 256 is the memory on the stick, and there's usually another number which is the bus speed, e.g. DDR400

if the board will handle it but the speeds have to be the same make sure that they are or it could cause problems

so long as you have the slots to fit both of them, then yes. The numbers don't matter, as long as their both SD, and you have the room
