funny you should mention this, I was just thinking the same thing last night. I dont see anything wrong with it, but maybe what others are looking at is her lifestyle. People have a way of seeking out negative instead of looking at positive. My opinion, good on her she has love to give so why not give it.

I think it is because of how she went about adopting the boy, she didn't follow the rules of that country on adoption, and the fact that the boy had a living parent doesn't make it look good either. As far as I know Angelina went by the rules of adoption and that is why she looks much better. Angelina seems to really want to help these children, Madonna on the other hand I often question-did she just do it to get in the public eye again, she seems to constantly crave attention.

Madonna is now based in England not USA. She could have chosen from many children here who have no family. Her decision to adopt from another country is her own business but why a child who has already got a father and grandparents? why not a child who has no hope of ever having its own family? The speed in which this adoption has gone through is so ridiculous, special treatment because of who she is deemed to be is wrong. She is a working mother doing a job like any other. She is nothing special, just a celeb because her job is singing.

Adopting one or two children does nothing to address the real problems going on in impoverished countries. It is just the celebrities collecting children and feeling like saviors when they are often sidestepping the laws to acquire these children. Personally, I would rather stay in my own country and culture and language than live my life as someone's pet. And wasn't Madonna funding the orphanage that Mercy was living in? If it was such an awful place and she was funding it, what does that say about Madonna?

I like Madonna and most of her music but i don't know why she had to take little David out of his country when he has a father already, she could have a last built them a home and supported them instead of taking David away from his culture and family.
Anyways i think the reason why she is getting a lot of bad press is that she is extremely famous! bigger then Angelina although i still don't think it's fair. They should just leave her alone! she did not commit a crime.

Firstly, the child has been brought into the UK through a US visa. Britain's strict adoption laws have been bi-passed in doing so. However, the major bone of contention was her ability to circumvent Malawi adoption law because of her fame (or infamy. However you regard her) and money. Other than that, they're just having a go at her. However, her genuine feelings for the little boy were shown when it was his (already) appointed nanny that picked him up from Malawi. I do fear that the boy maybe a fashion accessory.

i am a little concerned that she is adopting for publicity reasons
only. there is a bad vibe about this whole situation with her. i believe angelina was sincere. but then i guess the most important thing is that a child is getting a better life than what he
was born into. he will be priviledged beyond what his biological parents would have ever expected. maybe one day he can return to his birth country and make a difference.

Simply because people like to give Madonna a hard time. Both of these women should be applauded for promoting adoption, whether of children inside or outside of the US. A child is a child, regardless of where they are born.

Madonna is a very poor role model for a child.
