I heard lots of good things about Boudreaux's Butt Paste.
You can even get a free sample on their website, but the product is available nationally at Wal-Mart, Target, Walgreen’s, Babies R Us, Longs drug, Bi-mart, Bartell’s, Bel Air, Fred Meyers, H.E.B., Nob Hill, Raley’s, Safeway, and Save Mart. Or you can buy it direct from the website.
Here are a couple of the testimonials from the website (it has also been talked about on various news programs, etc...):

Baby Aveeno Oatmeal Bath is great for diaper rash, and other skin irritations. My son has sensitive skin and this works great for him. My son screams when I put the desitin on him, but that is just because his bottom hurts so bad when he does get diaper rash, but after a couple of minutes he is fine. My son's doctor also told me to get some 1/2% cortizone cream, and that really helped too. 1% might be a little too strong. Ask her own doctor first before trying the cortizone cream though.

My one month old just recently had a diaper rash and I just used a wash cloth with every change and let her bottom air out for a while afterwards. In two days the rash was looking better and in four it was gone. I found that Desitin actually irritated her skin more...

My daughter's horrible rash wouldn't be cured by anything! She's also 5 months old. I put her to bed one night without a diaper on-- just Balmex and a t-shirt--and covered her with a light blanket. (Of course I placed 2 waterproof pads under her bottom.) By morning the rash was gone! Your girl needs MORE than a few minutes to air out. This works really well if you can sneak in halfway through the night and change the top waterproof pad so she's not laying on sopping wet material. I was amazed! We'll do this once a week, now, as rash prevention. Her sheet and blanket didn't even get wet.

Coat your child's bottom with a thin layer of protective ointment. Cornstarch is a time-honored and safe remedy for treating diaper rash, but its effectiveness is purely anecdotal. It's okay to use petroleum jelly as a barrier, but it's not particularly effective since it rubs off easily.
I found this on the website below. It is a wonderful site! You can find about anything there... It also says to try to leave her diaper off as much as possible. That sounds hard to do but if you can figure out a way it might work! Good luck!

When my son was 6 months I had the same problem, First I switched my wipes to Pampers Sensitive, some of the wipes with scent gave him a rash. Desitin didnt work, but I like to use Balmex. Hope this helps.

My daughter is now 11 months old and she gets diaper rash so bad that it would even bleed.Nothing seemed to help or clear it up. Until my older sister who has 3 kids ages14,6,5 saw it and gave me a thing of Vermonts Original. That has been the only thing to help my daughters diaper rash.I put it on her at the first sight of redness and by the end of the day it is all cleared up.Vermonts Original is for the udder of milk cows but it sure helped my daughter.

When my daughter would get a painful rash I tried Eucerin Aquaphor. You can get it at any drug store. I has a lot of uses for dry and rashy skin. It is like a jelly and it works wonders. You can even use it on her chapped cheeks in the winter time. It works great for mommies too. I hope this helps.
You may also want to try Aveeno diaper rash cream it is great too. Everything is all natural.

heres what I do, I soak him in a warm bath, and let him wear undies, for the day....CAREFUL HERE! HA HA
I lather Desitin on him and cover him in corn baby powder with corn startch. Yes he cries when im applying it because it hurts, ita a rash, but after im done hes fine and itfeels better,,,, It usually heals up and loks 75% better by the end of the day! Just keep it latered on her....That wasy when she pees or poos its not touching the skin because there is a thick layer of cream, then clean with a wet warm wash cloth, NO WIPES!

I like Aveeno diaper rash cream. It's unscented, so it doesn't have that nasty medicinal smell that Desitin does. Our pediatrician said to put it on thick "like cream cheese on a bagel." My daughter's rash cleared up in one day after first using it, and she hasn't had a rash since.
