Creative ideas just kind of hit me unexpectedly.

I'm mostly inspired by the beauty I find in Nature; then I want to draw and paint what I've seen... the patterns of leaves, frost, and dragonflies' wings... the colors of the dawn sky, bird feathers, lake water... to mention just a few.
Art materials have have a similar effect: a new batch of paints or inks conjures up many images I wish to create. I also like to rescue old (but still useable) discarded items, such as furniture, and fix them up. So sometimes an old piece of 'junk' will inspire a 'new' recycled treasure.
