No disadvantage per se, except one can isolate oneself in ones peculiar culture. Look at Anderson the Enron fame, even smart Accountants were afraid to work in there because of their black tie culture even befor their failure. Some organizations fail due to Dictatorial culture pronounced by the CEO. Repressive cultures tend to do good.
