Guys, I need your quick help. My friend has got a daughter, her name will be Laila. Since I am not Muslim, I'd like to congratulate him in Arabic. I guess you have some kind of saying for newborn baby. Well?

in egypt we say
mabrouk ala laila we tetraba fe ezzak
it means congratulations for bringing laila and may u live to raise her well.
its a very common greeting in egypt

u can also say 'rabena yekhaleehalak' meaning God make her live long for ur sake

"mabrouk" alone means congratulations, it can be used in all occasions.

Type in google "translate Arabic" and type in your own phrase. This will be more personal, and your friend will be impressed!
