No. I believe that this is the word we use when we are first madly in love. When that original love kicks in all we see are the similarities in how we feel, what we believe, what we eat, etc. Everything is wonderful and we are so perfectly matched. An d then after the glow, the differences kick in. We are not so closely mated as we thought. I think each person has an individual soul that needs to grow and be nourished so that each individual can attain peace and harmony in this world. Our mate and/or companion will help us on this journey. Arguments will often be more growth giving that the "things we share." Our soul mate is really the person who becomes our best friend and loves us through the worst of our days. This person helps you grow and does try to suppress the growth with obstacles like jealousy, possessiveness etc. We are not one half of a whole soul coming together but rather individuals finding our own soul.

No I do not belive that everyone has a soulmate. I believe that everyone, with the right timing and the right amount of work into the relationship, can find the perfect match.

I also believe that, unfortunately, more often than not, thing will turn out wrong.

I believe everyone has a soulmate, whether we meet that person, or not, in this life is another question. I am still looking for mine.

Yes, I do.

There is an old legend that says that when God created mankind, he created a being with two heads - one male, and one female. They lived happily for a while, completing each other's thoughts and obviously closer than close... (lol) however, when they bickered and faught they inflicted such wounds on each other on different levels that the Creator decided to split them up, and so throughout our lives, each man and woman hungers for their soul mate, and spends their life searching for their other half.

True or not, I have always found it beautiful. Now I have my soul mate, I know how intensely close one can be, and how deep the wounds can go...

Much love - keep searching!

I believe you can find someone and love them so deeply that it hurts, but I also believe that this emotion, for some, can be felt for more than one person. There are those of us who are lovers by nature, very emotionally attached and connected to whoever we are with at the time. We can have the greatest loves of our life and never meet the one we were "meant" to be with. The greatest loves of our lives can be just a brief encounter that haunts us later if life, in times of regret and memory.

Yes, I believe everyone has a soulmate.
But I also believe a person may never actually meet their soul mate.
