Pregnancy would not give you a light period. You may not have ovulated this month and there isn't as much uterine lining to discharge.

In pregnancy you would have no period at all. A light period is just that, a light period and can be caused by a number of things including but not limited to, hormonal changes, dehydration, and even the common cold.
