Released in the 80's. The wizard is in 1 room in the castle. When he moves to an entry way of another room, u can see what is in that room. An asp or another time enemy could be in that room. If you don't fight it off, it would kill you. It wasn't dungeons and dragons. I want to see if it's avalible anywhere, but I can't think of the name. It was before Nintendo. Maybe Commadore.

Is isn't Wizard of War. I looked at the graphics on that game. The game I'm thinking of, you can see bricks along the walls.

I looked at Adventure, that wasn't it. The game I'm thinking of had more graphics. You could see levels of bricks in the rooms. The bricks covered other rooms until you are close enough to them. Then it would open up and there could be an asp (looked like one) or something else could get you. I think there was a dog in it. Think of the walls to the Mario games. This came out before that, but the castle walls were similar. Thanks

Okay, I think I found it. "Gateway to Apshai". The Atari version. Anyone remember that game? Can they tell me if that is the one?

i know the game. last christmas, i bought my little brother the re-release of the atari, the one that comes with like 40 games. that game you described is the only one he's played, and i've played tank.

i really do believe it's called adventure, like the previous answer. when i get home, i'll take a look, and find a link to a picture for you
