Ours is a Maytag and it worked fine for 15 years. One day I started a load, left the house, and the fill switch didn't shut off so for three hours the overflow filled our basement with water. What a huge mess! Repairman simply adjusted the fill switch, he said it didn't need replacing, and it's worked fine ever since. He said the switch is attached to the water level adjuster and I must have jogged a wire loose when I moved it down. It's worked fine but I never leave the house until it's filled for the rinse cycle to be on the safe side. If it's overflowing more than likely it's the fill switch which probably has to be replaced.

Could be one of the most common reasons for washing machines being thrown away: If the leak is coming out of the draw and not from the door seal, it could be the washing powder clogging up. Stick some towels in, select a boil wash but don't put any powder in. Run it a few times and all the solidified powder will disappear.

sometimes ,strange as it may sound if you have children or little items like small socks etc in the laundry and you overload one of them can bo between the tub and is sucked into the hose gonh to the pump or it can get in the pump before calling and paying for a service call i would unhook the hose to the pump, take pump offf and inspect for something in one of them

Did hose from the pump, on the bottom of the machine, get kinked or broken ?
If not you have a pump problem.

Maybe as simple as over loaded. If not, perhaps a hose is plugged.

Oh oh! It could be that the fill switch is bad. Or maybe it leaks.
