try to pass it off as their own? does it irritate you, especially if you've done a good amount of work to make the answer as informative as possible

If they did, you can report them to Y!A, because it is your work and your work is considered copywrited material here.
No, if someone wanted these (Polls) answers, they can have them, but if it one that I spent time on, I'd report them pronto!

I've never had it done to me (I think). But I would be upset and mad if it did. Yeah, you put hard work into an answer and then someone else tries to pass it off as theirs is really high on the irritating and annoying scales. But it also leads you to what can we do about it? Any ideas anyone?

Oh yeah...especially if I'm one of the first ones to answer and then someone gets in and reads all of them, picks the one they like best and changes it just a little.
What I hate is when someone asks a question and then when you open it to read, they are talking about something completely different in the lines that follow.

Um...well, if your answer was posted above theirs, then wouldn't it prove that you came up with it first? Or are you talking about the aliens that invade your thoughts and run gleefully to the computer and respond before you can?

It does'nt bother me, I find it amusing, and kind of sad as well, that they can't come up with something original.
