To the guy above you were so quick to go on a racist bash that you didn't even realise the person who asked the question isn't a Muslim. Did you even read his question properly? He said "people who respect OUR laws and contribute to OUR society" ie he's a British non-Muslim.

Because people are worried of what will happen later on. We judge others by some of them, and we are judged by some of us. People see what some of them want to do with the world, and how they want it to become, and that scares them, and those good Muslim people seems to turn the blind eye when something happens in the name of their religion and their prophet. Do you recall the riots that went on over the cartoons? it was a few, but many people including Britain. They held signs calling for 9/11 onto Europe among others.
Ask a Muslim this question and find for yourself. Would you like the whole world to become Muslims? the answer will be in the area of Inshallah.
We are all in one way or another puppets to the media, including the Muslims.
Did you know that there are more Muslims in the USA than there are in Kuwait and Lebanon combine! they live peaceful with the Non Muslims, and yet when you go to the Middle East, they paint you a picture of unjust for these people, when in reality, they are the one who trash others and wish them death.

What you say is utterly lame.
I watch objective TV (BBC World for example) and it's not propoganda. I see British muslims constantly protesting in the streets of MY country, holding signs which often read as: Kill those who insult Islam (did a westerner put that sign in his hand?). How about British Muslims who've said they wanted the blood of the US troops to flow in Iraq.
Muslims demonize themselves. When called a non-peaceful religion, how is this confirmed? - embassies are fire-bombed, flags are burned, death is called for, mass protests because we Westerners dare use something called fredom of speech in our OWN country. Are you even allowed to own a Bible in your land?
Everyone knows Islam isn't peaceful but some are too afraid to come out and say it, especially in the UK where the Left have enforced political correctness.
As for the veil - that is an utter disrespect for the students and our traditions. British teachers don't wear veils. They don't , they look upon the children and other staff face-to-face, not through a slit over the eyes. If you want to wear your veil, go to your OWN country. If I was a student how could I take someone who covers up except for the eyes seriously? If the Muslims want to be part of England then they must obey our rules and traditions just like we Westerners must when we go to Middle Eastern countries.
Oh and if you hate England so much, why don't you go back to the Middle East? Why?

The government love to have a enemy! before Muslims it was the Soviets before that the Germans, before that the french! it helps keep the population pre-occupied with the "Threat" (which is usually very small) it helps the government do what it wants in the name of "lessening the threat".
The papers do it because they know it sells and they just want money.
The public do it because many are just Thick or ignorant. The fact is anyone who reads papers and believes them are stupid most of it is made up (which I could give examples of) and very right winged.
as for the veil argument if you are a none Muslim it does make you feel uncomfortable so it was a good debate the problem arises when idiots and Nazis enter the debate and cause problems.

I study that document even as they placed it on the internet some years decrease back. i imagine I nonetheless have it someplace. What they were providing became already rolling by technique of the time RAND sat round their table to brainstorm about this. Muslims were divided ever because the Prophet became gone and the Khaliphs were murdered. After that, splinter, splinter, splinter. It became a pair dedicated communities from Egypt and Persia then, yet they could't be blamed for the state of issues. The Qur'an is in hand, it became then. Any muslim can study it at any time and get the right of issues, in the adventure that they seem for it. That achieved, they received't be too genuinely fooled by technique of state-sponsored imams and students. prepared faith is state prepared and many communities recommend many more effective opportunities for income. The market of Islam is in basic terms as important because the evangelical and protestant Christian secterian market contained in the west. Its a bankers' recreation. If human beings will study the e book to charm to close what's actual says, they received't be undemanding to fool into doing deranged issues, with wild expectancies. it really is strictly what the hadith compilers had in ideas even as they did their artwork. The historians, Tabari's, Ghazali's, and so on. and tafsir writers can connect them on the pile. as long as everyone is taking those thoughts to the exclusion of Al Qur'an, we can anticipate branch to proceed without obstruction.

I agree that vast majority of Muslims are peaceful people.
Media is a powerfull tool.
As far as the veil argument, I disagree with you.
I think that when you come to a new country and make it your new home, you have to respect that country's culture. Learn their language, dress like them. If not, stay where you are!

Because it is forced on them in the way the press show it, it is the same at a foot ball match you always see the arsholes smashing things up but you never see all the other supporters having a good time after the match, It is what sells the papers that counts and that is all

Actually much of the British media, especially the BBC is excessively favourable to the Islamic community and repeatedly fails to present an accurate and unbiased view of Muslims.
Rampant political correctness and fawning over Muslims who seem to think they have the right to change a white Christian society into an Islamic state is leading us into a situation where more hatred and distrust is likely because the vast majority of people see their own rights erroded to appease the Islamic fanatics.
You cite the example of a Muslim women wearing a veil and ask what harm it does me:
* It divides me from her, and in turn divides my community from hers. This harms me because I belong to a community which is being unnecessarily divided by such selfish actions;
* It represents a right denied to non-Muslims... non-Muslims are barred from pubs, shopping malls, banks and building societies etc if they cover their faces with hoodies or baseball caps yet Muslim women can do this unchallenged;
* It represents a right of religious freedom which is being denied to other faiths - such as the Christian woman being penalised by British Airways for wearing a crucifix
* It represents prejudice against me because in MY country Muslims are allowed freedom of religious expression but in many Muslim countries such as Saudi Arabia I would be stoned in the street or arrested by the religious police if I wore a crucifix or carried a bible in public.

There is a problem between communities in the sense that Muslims are trying to enforce religious rules in a land which is virtually atheist. I read that only 6 percent of Brits go to church regularly- religious zeal is becoming an irritant to people who don't want to know. British Muslims continue to rear large families, spreading their influence whether it is appreciated or not. Both positions are entrenched it seems, due to the distance between them. Makes me anxious...

Because the media is a very powerful tool, its negative, manipulative and stronger than most of us put together, it sucks us in and spits us out when its finished messing with our brains, no matter how hard we try to get away from it, unfortunately we can't.
