Maybe so. I think the question is more 'when' than 'if'? The last erruption hapened 640,000 years ago so there's no doubt it'll happen again. U might wanna check out this website.

Old Faithful is a geyser and not a volcano. It "erupts" and spews forth steaming water about once an hour and has done so for years. As such, it is not a volcanic eruption waiting to happen. However, the whole geyser and boiling mud system
is directly related to the volcanic activity below, and the whole
"plumbing " system changes from time to time.
One year, I believe 1984, the mud pots at Mud Volcano started gurgling profusely and oozed mud all over the place.
That same year, the eruptions of several of the geysers were permanently disrupted indicating some large scale changes in the underground system.
Like any other volcanic system, one never knows for sure when it will next erupt.

It is merely a spot on the face of the super volcano that lives underneath Yellowstone!!!
