Trying to find previous answers to making your own carpet cleaning solution instead of expensive store bought

I can give you the one that I use: I get a mop bucket and fill with 3/4 warm water and add a tbsp. of dawn dishwashing liquid, then use an egg beater or large spoon to beat it until the soapy foam comes up. put the foam on the carpet with sponge and let it dry for 10 minutes and then vacuum.

use 1 teaspoon of wash power in a large spray bottle to prespray carpets before steaming or carpet machining don't use any sort of soap this will attract dirt back
