i would have to say human instinct...."hey look that person has something i want, what if i give him this thing, maybe he'll give me that"....LOL things like that.............

The father of the Consumerism was eventually a mother: Eve the wife of Adam. She couldn't resist the fruit of forbidden tree.
Well of course the snake did some marketing to persuade her. Therefore I will call the snake as the Father of all Sales Managers.
