Such a wonderlul way to spend a day

My DH (dear hubby) told me take a nap you'll feel amazing... well I finally gave in. He was so right, I'm refreshed and long days are no problem.

But what amazed me even more ... go on college campus and in the dorms entire floors will take naps and sleep during the weekday not just the weekend. My bet is they are night owls and their bodies need it. It's pretty amazing to see others waking their friends up so they don't miss a class.

But as a pastime, meaning everyday, most of the day... gotta say no. That is too much, your allowing life to pass u by.

I do, when I get a chance. I can actually get all excited and buzzing with anticipation to get beneath the covers, and so often the quality of sleep is so much better.
The only thing is that too much of it gets me down: when I was out of a job and could sleep whenever I wanted, I felt a little bit like a loser sleeping when the whole world is doing something productive, so it became far less enjoyable.

I wish I could, but it makes me feel completely rough.

I just cannot sleep in the day. Have only done so on very rare occassions when I've had mammoth hang-over and not much sleep in the night. But then, I wake up with a really dry mouth and the devil's breath. I feel spaced out and crappy for the rest of the day.

So, instead of having a nap and feeling refreshed, I have to stay awake and just feel awful the whole day. It sucks.

Day time sleeping tips appreciated!

I have to disagree with people who say only nighttime is for sleeping.
I am a daytime sleeper. I tend to do it because I go to bed too late, still have to get up early but mostly I start feeling tired and miserable because I am bored and not working. If I was at work I wouldnt be able to go back to bed. I don't think I am depressed but having no money and the winter months are taking their toll. I am bored and worried, I have nothing to go to bed for and no real purpose to get up for so I guess it's a cycle. I need to change my life and have started applying for jobs.

Would love to but never get a chance to do so and as such my body is not used to afternoon naps, I don’t think I can sleep for more than an hour during the day.

i discover it much less complicated to sleep in the process the daylight hours. For me i think of because of the fact there is plenty taking place and for some reason I in basic terms am extra well-off. At night time it style of feels as quickly as my head hits that pillow on comes the questioning and demanding approximately day after on the instant, the destiny, my childrens, my costs and almost each little thing else. i do no longer know why, yet maximum of my friends and family members properly a minimum of the girls agree. i desire that facilitates somewhat.

If it is cold out and the rain is pouring , and my hubby is home to snuggle, I can always wind up falling asleep watching a movie with him... It just feels amazingly comfy and even though I wanna stay awake, I sometimes can't resist... It is an odd feeling of serenity and comfortable different than night time sleep...

no. i think that will be too much of sleeping.
if care is not taken you will find out that you have spent a quarter of ur life sleeping.
that is a waste of life.
i think on the average, 6hrs sleep is cool for an adult, whether night or day. but it is better at night. you are supposed to have been busy all day. except your work is scheduled for the night.

Hell yes!!! I'm a daysleeper actually but I used to take siestas in the afternoon to energize myself for a night of partying. This way my body don't bog down from too much alcohol and lack of nighttime sleep.
