It is true! One of my best friends really screwed me over years ago, and now she is in an unhappy marriage, she's a hateful person, etc. She hates that I am in a happy relationship, finally started college, etc. That's better that revenge, that's priceless.

If someone has been unkind to you....do not retalliate.
Live a good decent life, cultivate good friends, Worship God, and treat your family very well. Be content with what you have even if it is lesser than the other person you are happier, and satisfied.
When your abuser watches your life blossom, you heap fiery coals upon his head. And he cannot say you have been provoked or have returned evil for evil.
You are free form his hate...He is consumed with your life.....how sweet it is...

Nah, the true meaning of living 'well' is to find happiness. Some people find this happiness in different ways, that's all you have to do . Only preoccupation with worldly matters merely leads to confusion.
