too cold to break out the bathing suit on the beach? Nice during the day, chilly at night is what i've heard.

sounds about right - we went for spring break a few years ago and it was too cold to enjoy swimming but the weather was nice. This year we waited until summer break to go - much better!

Gorgeous. Sunny, not humid, up to the middle 80s during the day, cool at night. It depends on where you're from whether you'll want to break out your swimsuit in April. Water temps in the Pacific tend to be considerably cooler than they are in, for example, Florida, at that time of year. So, it may be good for laying in the sun, but you may find it too cool for swimming. Bring spring/summer clothes for daytime, but also a long-sleeved sweater or jacket and long pants for evening.
