In the 1st. place. Prostitution has been around since acient times. It is only illegal, so the whole legal system has a way of financial gains! From the stand point of judges and lawyers, it's a huge money maker. Consider this. They pick up the hooker, charge her, take her to court, try and convict, lawyer defends, & helps post the bond. This is a way of obtaining money from them since they don't pay taxes on the money they make for sex! The whole process is just a glorified tax gain. You know they're going right back out on the streets to make it again. As to the issue about the diseases, most of them utilize safe sex practices and demand useing them! Not all, I said most! The drug user doesn't get caught as easily or return nearly as often as the prostitue. If you had a guaranteed anuity. What would you benefit from the most!

Prostitution doesn't cause harm to society, as long as it isn't a minor.
It's your opinion that it causes harm. Most consider it two consented adults, where one provides a service to another for cash. I can't think of anything that doesn't harm society any less. (Again if it isn't a minor)
On the note of STD's. Promiscuous people having sex for free run that same risk. You go out to the bar everyda and get laid? Guess what, it's exactly the same thing. So you can f*ck off with your prostitution harms society bullsh*t. It's a social construct that has been creating and you are buying into it.
I think weed falls under the same category. But don't try to justify one and throw another under the bus because you have a distaste for it. Weed should be Legal. Prostitution should be legal (oldest profession). And non-violent crimes should be fines not jail time.
Open your thoughts, you f*cking narrow-minded stoner.

Good point! I think the judicial system feels that drugs are more harmful they're connecting it with other types of drugs. Drugs that are potentially more dangerous. Although you are so right about the prostitution. Prostitutes can have a worst affect on society then marijuana. I never thought about this. It would make a good topic of conversation with my friends. I'd like to hear their different point of views on this matter. Also, you should take the time to write the government concerning this matter. Very good question!

Prostitution is a service. Grass is a product. The Government sees grass as something that is a TAXABLE product; however, it is easily grown and grows wild in some parts of the U.S. Instead of being able to control the product the government knows that the average Joe can grow grass and it would not be able to tax or make money on the sell of grass. So the Government makes it illegal so they can make profits through fines, jail time, and rehab classes. That causes revenue for the local and state governments and that is why the government is harder on grass. Something that is a service like hookin is hard to prove and not everyone puts themselves out like that so its more controlled that way.

I truly believe it is a conspiracy. They (the "man" the cops) seem to think that weed is a gateway drug, but I think it is more like the money that is generated thru dealers. The cops confiscate that money w/the drugs (as I have heard the stashes also deplete Hmmmmmmm) & when people get arrested there are fines & so on we have to pay, keeps them in business so to speak!
But the prostitutes spend their money on drugs quickly so there doesn't seem to be much to take from them.:o[ Sad really.

I agree, Ive never been an official prostitute myself but i did make one guy pay to have sex with me. But with Marijuana, I don't know, I'm really risky about that stuff. In the summer I just go to Amsterdam with some friends for a week or two and smoke pot all the time. Its really fun lol.

b/c most americans are stupid and believe what the rich pays them to believe through ads and campaigns. the first drug laws were 'jim crow'-like to prevent minorities from sleeping with white women. i dont think it is a matter of the crime, it is who commits it. i doubt a kennedy or a bush would serve time; willie nelson just got a citation for a half pound and whitney houston didnt get in trouble for having pot at the airport. it isn't a black/white thing; it is a rich/poor thing. a poor white male (such as myself) gets screwed by the system as well bc i cant afford 10k for a lawyer. lets see if paris even gets probation for her dui. doubt it.

What article did you read that says Marijuana is the CURE to Alzheimers? That is pure b.s.
Justice is dispensed inequitably. Why did your friend get jailtime, and O.J. is playing golf today?

Prositutes give STDs to married women by cheating husbands and cause pain for many people. Weed however doesn't harm anyone. Its less dangerous than alchohol yet its illegal.
