Fluids that keep the eyes lubricated. It drys on contact with the air. As long as no disease is present that is normal.

It is the crud(dust, etc) that your eye lid scrapes off your eye(s) when you are asleep, etc.. Your blinking keeps the eye clean and the crud collects at the corner of your eye

its called saraune , might be mispelled, anyways it is created because your eyes get dry when u are sleeping and that is the tears drying out.
