I live in Northern Va and I want to learn how (as a surprise), does anyone know where classes are or how I could find some?

Your friendly local strip joint would be a good start. Just go and watch for a while. If you like it, they may let you practice. It may be a good source of income too.

Just find a pole and some music and go to town. Otherwise, in San Francisco, C.A. Pole Dancing Aerobics is the new rage. But be careful no one was meant to pole dance for more than 10 minutes, after that you lap dance. My friend tried pole dancing for thirty minutes and was on crutches for a month.
Be careful. It's more dangerous than it looks.
You could even make money while learning by working at a shitty strip club like the Gin Mill or 4-mile near LaCrosse Wisconsin
