Isnt it something to do with which side of your brain dominates your thinking. One side means quick witted and the other causes a problem in expressing your thoughts. xx

I know what thats like. It always happens to me too, like when i get in to a fight with my bf he is so good at arguing and a whizz with words that i just end up storming out cause its the only thing im good at and then afterwards i always think oh i wish i had said that and why didn't i say this. But its just the way it is some people are better at communicating quicker than others.

There are very few people in the world who don't experience this! If someone's giving you a hard time, buy yourself some time by looking them up and down slowly with a little smirk then say what you want to say - the thinking time will stop you blurting something silly, and they'll think you're vaguely amused by their stupidity.

This happens to everyone, especially when ambushed. To minimize this you develop a assertive position and learn to speak your mind. You will lose friendship you don't really need, and gain respect of people you shiold have as friends, and know that those that parted friendship, will still hold respect for you. This is a balanced travel over the narrow walk.

Go and gain knowledge first, by reading, observing. Less tv please, because tv is passive. Work on building your self-esteem by dressing a little brighter, with colors, learning to walk confidently (gentle swinging of hands, keep the head on level ground, with a lilt to your stride). Get into more experiences with your friends; learn to look at them when they speak, at their body language, facial cues, to determine the tone they are speaking in; it takes many years of practice daily for you to come to a point where your knowledge is no longer power; the wisdom or timing to use it(or not to use it, depending on the context) will set you free to be alive!

I believe that you can train yourself for when the need arises. First, watch shows like Jon Stewart/The Daily Show or Friends (even if they're annoying). You can borrow some of their snaps and you'll learn how to construct snappy comebacks of your own. When in doubt, just act like the person insulting you is beneath you: ignore and/or walk away, like they don't exist. I like David Spade's line in "Tommy Boy": "Are you still talking?"

you need to practise quick thinking, eventually you will have and give the answers you mean to give. Take a few seconds to think before you speak. Most times the best answers are enough to shut people up and leave them speechless.

Angel face, I think a lot of us a like that. Can think of a really clever and witty answer ages after an event. It all comes down to experience I think.
