I think you have already made your decision so I would just be honest and tell her how you are and she can accept it or not.

It will a pain for your best friend when you tell her,not because you are a lesbian but because you keep it from her and put up an act to cover that you are a lesbian.
But,its better late than never, prepare yourself as it could be ugly, bear in mind that its not her fault that she can't accept it,give her time for a best friend is at the stake.
Its also could be vise verse!

You have other issues more important than telling your friends. Don't you think that dating guys, to cover your identity, is just a little unfair to them? You appear to be too uncaring of others to have a healthy relationship with anyone right now. And all you're worried about is telling your friends? Sheesh...

Just tell them. You don't have to throw a big coming out party or some thing. Just say something like, "I'm attracted to women and not men." Some of their responses might surprise you, and in a good way.

Well depending on how old you are most of your friends wont be able to keep a secret. If you two are really close, like "get completely naked and get changed in the same room" close. Maybe just talk to her when she's just alone with you. say something like "Um mm Kelly, can I tell you something? But please don't tell anyone." Then she will say ok then you say "Well umm I'm a lesbian, please don't take it the wrong way or anything. Is this ok with you?"
Kelly is my best friend.
Well see how that goes. And please please please tell me how it goes. Ive helped out many people with their sexuality and I'm only 18.

If that's your friend you shouldn't keep secrets.

you know you just say it tell her that you want to be honest with her as you value your friendship with her and you hate hiding stuff especially from her as she is your best friend. you know that's how you will see who your true friends and people love you if they can accept you for who you are.

why you should tell all your friends? if you're a lesbian so thats it, cuz u know what not all people can accept that, most of them are homophobic, so becareful. just tell them that you like girls a lot :)
