I have a nine month old daugther that I still breastfeed about 4-6 times a day(she's on solids mostly). I began getting my period back when my daugther turned six months. My husband and I are trying to conceive and we tried at all the right times last month(and then some). I thought for sure that I was pregnant, by the way I had been feeling...but...my period was 3 days late, and then it started! It threw me for a loop! Do you think that I will have a hard time getting pregnant while still breastfeeding? My husband and I never had to "try" hard with our other two....first time of planning, and boom, i was pregnant! I have even thought that maybe I'm pregnant and still getting a period, but I know that's just wishful thinking....what do you all think?? Is breastfeeding really going to make is hard for us?

It can be harder to get pregnant while breastfeeding, I did though. I had 3 failure to implants, which is what it sound like you experienced, before getting pregnant. Basically, you are ovulating and the egg is being fertilized, but there isn't enough uterine lining to implant. Really, your body is still preparing it could take a few months but will happen. I started ovulating when my son was 14 months and was pregnant when he was 20 months and he nursed to 23 months. Good luck!

When I got pregnant with my son my daughter was 18 months old and still breastfeeding. The first sign I had was that breastfeeding became very painful for me. Good luck.

While breastfeeding may make it more difficult for some women to conceive, it does not mean that it is impossible. You may not get your period again as soon as a nonbreastfeeding mom, but you could still be ovulating.

it relatively is harder to get pregnant on an analogous time as breastfeeding, I did although. I had 3 failure to implants, this is what it sound such as you experienced, until eventually now getting pregnant. relatively, you're ovulating and the egg is being fertilized, yet there's no longer sufficient uterine lining to implant. particularly, your physique remains preparing it ought to take some months yet will take place. i began ovulating while my son replaced into 14 months and replaced into pregnant while he replaced into 20 months and he nursed to 23 months. sturdy success!

no you could definately be pregnant. the first year after having a baby you are the most fertile. take a pregnancy test, especially since your daughtor is only 9 months old. your body is trying to regulate it self still. so that could explain why you are bleeding and might be pregnant. GOOD LUCK!!!!
