If I say I "see a glass 1/2 full" and sometimes I " see a 1/2 empty glass ", would I be classified 'optimistically open-minded'?

It's getting more and more difficult to be an optimist anymore. We are using up all of the earth's resources, and we haven't found any new resources yet. We're eating such a big hole in the ozone layer that people are starting to get skin cancer just from being outside a little bit everyday. We're tangled in war with so many different countries, feels like it will never stop. Crops aren't growing like they used to, and we're running out of food quickly.

But, I have my fiancee, and I have my family, and I have a job, and I have my friends. It could be a lot worse from where I'm standing. I'm thankful for what I do have, and thats all we can focus on.

Yes. I see at least some good in most things and am a positive thinker. Even things that I don't see good in right now will have some good come out of them later.

Nope, I'm a born pessimist!
But things never turn out as badly as I expect, which is why I'm also darn cheerful most of the time!
