Simple... Say, "Oh well... guess I should do better in the next exam period", then forget about your failed exam. It's your obligation to improve you grades so focus on your studies.

You don't trust your friends that much so you feel as if they ignore you. It's only you who's feeling that way, really. Your friends will never know what your problem is until you tell them. But do you actually know your own problem? Your problem is you lack confidence... you worry about the things that are not likely to happen at all. Do you really think you've lost them? It's your negative feeling that makes you think you've lost them. You haven't tried greeting them again so how can you tell you've lost them? The reason why you feel they're ignoring you is because they noticed that you seemed depressed so they're just giving you space... to be on your own so you can focus on your worries.

Well, it's only you who can really fix your problem. Make amends. Dedicate a specific time on your studies and focus on it seriously. Then greet your friends when you see them in school. Things will be back to the way they were... the way they used to be as you see them before. Give it a shot and thank me later.
;-)

I can imagine you feel rotten about the whole situation, but honestly lost your friends? I surely hope it is not about your failed exam You hadn't greeted them you say, but they don't notice you say, so they probably didn't notice then that you hadn't said hello...
What you are going to do you ask??? ..... You can take the exam again can't you? Your teachers know you, talk to them. Ask them if there's a chance you can take the exam again. I flunked my exam, the first time, because I hadn't studied at al that year. I was spending all my time with friends and didn't look in any books. My results were so bad, I wasn't even allowed to take The Re-exam after the summer break and had to do the whole year a second time...It is more than 30 years ago, but I still feel a bit of a fool over it, because it was my own fault.....
At the other hand... Are you sure you failed?? Have you had your results yet??? Mai be you only think you haven't made them well, and are you getting depressed over nothing at all.

Don't fret about it too much, unless you know why you failed your exam... Yeah.... Shame on you !!!! Lazy???? I hope when you tell your parents, they remember that they were young once themselves.... I don't envy you having to tell them....
And it is not the end of the World you know, you are not big enough yet to make something like that happen ( ha ha). Wasted a year.... School belongs to have a fond place in your memory, for all the discovery's you make during that time, and the fun things you do with your friends ...
