Are there other archetypes besides the anima, animus, shadow, hero, maiden and other frequently mentioned archetypes?

Besides those, and 'other frequently mentioned archetypes', there aren't many, or worth mentioning.

The persona is probably Jung's most valuable participation to psychology, and it is defined by the mask a person uses to create an impression on others. The forms this mask can take varies from job, title, social position, behavior and so on.

Other archetypes mentioned and defined by Jung are:

- The mother archetype
- The child archetype
- The old man and of course
- The self, considered by Jung as the most important archetype. He defined this concept in a different manner than Freud, his mentor, and considers it the center of one's personality, the middle ground between conscious and unconscious, the equilibrium between the good and the bad that lies within the individual's psyche.
