hey hmv asked my mate about a 100 question survey on musical knowledge etc.....
also according to HMV itself:
"You'll be responsible for merchandising, replenishing stock, customer enquiries and eventually buying products into the store, using your specialist product and market knowledge."
so i would revise on your previous experience in relation to HMV criteria of a suitable individual. The specialist knowledge also plays a big part with recruitment.
Good Luck :-)

You should make sure you know whats in charts, try to make sure you know a bit about more than one genre of music. Try and get used to the layout of the store and then you can explain how quickly you would be able to show someone where what they are looking for is located. You need to show interest and enthusiasm in music or there is no point. I think HMV are very specialist at selling music. Bring back our price weren't they cheaper ????

If it somewhat is your first job, you won't desire a resume. A resume is a illustration of your previous paintings adventure. to prepare for a job, merely ask for a job application. you may additionally desire to ask if there is an age hassle (you may must be sixteen, 18, and so on.) in the event that they call you for an interview, they might ask questions which includes: "What might you do if a fellow worker discovered a huge quantity of funds on the floor," "Are you a frontrunner or a follower," and so on. The questions are actually not something to rigidity out approximately, as they are regularly consumer-friendly experience. make certain you smile, be well mannered and to ask the interviewer questions in case you have any. good success.

No idea but tell them you are interested to work in as many different departments as possible to get a full knowledge of what HMV are about. Also even though it may be a lie, tell them you think you have a bit of a flare for window dressing and displays. good Luck. also tell them you are honest, hardworking and uncomplicated. The latter seems to capture a little bit of their interest

They asked my friend what their favourite band was, and what was their (the favourite band's) most popular CD.
She can't remember anything else, but she got the job...
