Either you say a weakness that is also a strength something like: I am a perfectionist etc.
Or a genuine weakness that you had in the past that you addressed and improved something like computer skills addressed by going to appropriate courses etc
Good luck

I've hired numerous people over the years and personally, the ones who take strengths and try to pass them off as weaknesses always strike me as a little slimy.

Be honest about your weaknesses, obviously make a statement about what you're trying to do about fixing it, but don't lie. The interviewer asks the question to see if your weaknesses will fit in with the people you'll be working with. They know that no employee is perfect, but they want to know that when they hire someone that person is going to take responsibility for their actions and be honest about their production.

For example, I'm perpetually late for work in the morning. It's never more than three or four minutes, but it's still late. I'm upfront about it, but I make up for it by insuring that my work is done on time and an extra ten or fifteen minutes is put in at lunch or at the end of the day. I've not been unemployed since I was fourteen and every job has been a promotion over the last.

Don't kill your chances at a great position because you can't be honest about a weakness.

Good Luck!

I always pick something rather unimportant, such as admitting that filing isn't my favorite thing, or that I am not very excited about writing procedures. NOBody is excited about those things, so it doesn't count against you.

(Once trained) I am very a very self directed person and work much better when left alone to get the job done in my own order of doing things. Some people who like to control others would see that as a problem, other employers would see that as a great asset. Present something such as this when asked the question.

Wait until you get older and have to be interviewed by someone who looks thirteen and asks you, "Where do you see yourself 20 years from now?" and I'm thinking "Hopefully still alive".

My old standby is that "I don't like to say No to someone who asks for my help". But, I follow-up with the fact that sometimes it is necessary, in order to provide quality work -- I can't stretch myself to thinly among to many projects.
