It seems like all the vitriolic questions are aimed against the Republicans. Why do people think the GOP is going to use immoral tactics? Why aren't any of the Republicans asking what's up with the Democrats? Or maybe the Republicans are just above the little petty fights and smashing the Dems.

Because republicans have been known for using immoral tactics for over a century
The first on record was the election of 1860 which started a civil war!

Have you been reading these sites? There has been plenty of vitriolic questions aimed at Democrats (aka liberals). I know because I've been answering them. Re negative campaigning: Perhaps it's taking place in your state/district but it isn't in mine. Both individuals running for govenor are discussing the issues as are those in the running for senator.

The Republicans aren't any better than the Democrats. High horses are unattractive.

Conservatives think with their minds whilst Liberals with their hearts thus more openly passionate. We whom think with our minds save our passion for the voting booth. This would explain why the Republicans get the vote out far better than the Democrats. I am confident that the quiet majority will unleash it's voting power against the Democrats this election thus possibly republicans may actually gain seats on both sides of the house.

Above them? Maybe you weren't consious the other day, when some of the best of the Pundit Parrots were spewing total garbage, bitching about how bad the Dems are. Tuesday's only a day away, that's when the talk really matters.

1st part of your question: It's good ole mud-slinging politics. 2nd part of your question: If they had longer during the one debate allowed before the election and /or spent more money (given or taken from their good old pockets), you would have heard more regarding "what's up with the democrats?". Respectfully, if you think one party is above throwing mud at the other, you've hidden your eyes too long.

One recalls the October Surprise that sunk Jimmy Carter.

Also, since the GOP appears to be desperate to stay in control, it just indicates more the public's distrust of all politicians

That's not how I see it! You need to look again and this time right down the question as you see them. Maybe then you would see it's pretty even. Make sure your reading the entire question too not just the headline.

I think it has more to do with the Republicans having exhausted their credibility. There is an old saying about how often you can lie to all of the people before it catches up with you...

Because only the Democrats have the vision and courage to ask questions. Dittohead neocons are content not to question their leaders, out of dogmatic belief that they shoulc not trust their eyes and instead believe the fantasy created by the Bush administration.
