It has felt like that for ten years now. All the indigenous brummies have all moved down to Devon, Somerset or Dorset or moved abroad. And who can blame them?
I am a brummy who moved to Devon four years ago and life is more peaceful and the people are nicer.
But multiculturalism is here to stay so either get used to it or move out.

because if you've been away, birmingham has changed vastly over the last two years so even to me, who hasn't left, it can feel like a different place.
or it could be because there are so many ethnic groups now develop in this city that you're just feeling a little out numbered.

Do you think that maybe something happened to make you feel like this or maybe you just feel it for no reason? Are there more different people moving to your town? If it's not anything I just mentioned, I don't really know what to tell you, but I hope that I did. If they didn't help you, talk to someone you know well and trust and see if they can help you.

You have been effected by influences from all over the world - so you can't just call yourself a Brummie.
Multiculturalism is a good thing.
