You are right. It will stir things up. But It is also a link in the chain of change. The man is an arrogant fool no matter how you look at it. I really have no opinion on the Death penalty issuse regrading him but It is time for a change that is certain.

It will flare only those who prospered under his dictatorship. I think the majority of the citizens of Iraq will accept the judgement of the judicial system and agree with the punishment. The crimes for which he was convicted are horrendous, and the punishment is appropriate.
That said, if he were in the American judicial system, I would imagine his lawyers would argue that it is cruel and unusual punishment to execute an insane man. I don't think Saddam is insane. I think he is a sociopath who managed to get in a position of power, and is no better than Ted Bundy, Richard Ramirez, John Wayne Gacy, or any of the other serial killers in history. He just used his office to assuage his sick dementia.

why not set him free wouldn't that be OK too?why dint you read some about him?he was a dictator much like Hitler Stalin and Mussolini.hanging is Iraq's way of capital punishment. it shows humiliation and to the point of the one being hung.i hope the sunni which are hussiens people from his home of tikrit dont get upset by the hanging which has to be carried out in 30 days.i sure that when his time is due there will be a civil war started even before his execution.i do recall reading that the leader of this sect said that we will open up the gates of hell to all.

I think it will just create more aggressiveness in the area.
More importantly, will his hanging justify the war in Iraq? Bush says that this proves him right? Did that mean he had his doubts and lead Americans to belive something he feels only half-heartedly? And with this...does this justify the death of many Americans on 9/11?

of direction no longer. he's barely as to blame as his masters interior the yank government who gave him the WMD and instructed him to apply them. have you ever in no way considered the image op with Rumsfeld shaking Saddam's hand? interior the present trial related to his crushing of a Shiite assassination plot, he did no longer something a US president does no longer do. Hell, Dubya has had tens of hundreds of harmless Iraqis killed only because of the fact Saddam tried to have Daddy Bush killed. Following the evidence of that trial, i do no longer even think of Saddam might get convicted in an independent courtroom in u . s . or everywhere else interior the actual international.....no longer to show get the dying penalty

Do you honestly believe this man can be rehabilitated? Yes, he needs to die. Life in prison does not mean life in prison. At some point he will get out.

He should be executed by public beating, televised internationally on Christmas Eve. Then his remains should be ingested by dogs and pigs, televised on Christmas day.
