He used to play Anthony Murray in Brookside. Do you find it fair that he is on x factor and not told the judges who he is? comments please.

No its the boy from liverpool. it took me ages to realiz who he was until i looked up the old brookside website and got his name etc....

OMG!!! Thank goodness for that it has been driving me mad i knew i recognised him but could i think where from thanks you have just stopped me from going on about it every time x factor is on!!!!

When I first saw him on it I thought he looked familiar,he reminds me of the little boy Eddie from "The Munsters"!Then it twigged he was on Brookside!
As for if it's fair,who knows but it's probably going to kick start his career again.

He performed Anthony Murray in Brookside. i don't think of he must be allowed to enter quite, because he might want to already have a fanbase from being on the small screen television, yet inspite of this, many human beings contained in the previous shows were on small screen television till now, and it did not ascertain that they might win, Andy Scott-Lee operating example, he became on Pop Idol many years in the past having earlier been in a band. also Kerry (in this years over 25's crew) became in a channel 4 sequence, e book club or something.

Yeah he used to play Anthony and he was being bullied by a girl called Amelda (sp?) ...I think he then drowned her in the river or something like that.
Im pretty sure when he was being interviewed by Ben Shepherd on the extra factor in the early audition stages, Ben asked him about his Brookie days so they know about it.

The judges DO know- they talked about it when he first auditioned. As long as he's not currently signed to any record labels, he's fair game.

I don't see what's 'unfair' about it or how it gives him any advantage. Kerry apparently had already had chart success, and the Conways last year had been on tour with Westlife ...

I knew that, but it is no more shocking than that guy the other year - I think it was pop idol, and he was the brother of a girl from 'STEPS"!!!! - And had been in band that toured with them.

yes and if you remember he was nearly dropped out of the final by Simon but he had a sudden change of heart and kept him in now i wonder why that was.

I didn't know that. I suppose he should of told them but everyone got the same chance to be there.
