What can be done? Both parties are guilty. We're voting for dishonest people but if we don't vote then we might as well not live in a democracy. How can we pass a law that would require political candidates to be honest or face consequences when the law would have to be passed by the people responsible for the lies we're seeing this election?

Politicians SHOULD BE held accountable, but that's like asking a dog or cat who has fleas not to scratch. To help possibly to get a law passed, start by writing/emailing the congressman/woman over your district. Express ypur concerns. They will take it from there.

lol well, this is slightly impossible but, another factor to this could be the dishonest one bushing out and using dead people (or simply hacking it and making vote A into vote A - vote z, lol...) anyways the simple solution to this would be to have a no tolerance law against anyone in office, anything to wrong the people on there part gets them ... watever consequence (guilotine:D) lol

Partially that you can't legislate morality, they could state that it wasn't a lie, but they were frustrated in their attempts to make those goals come to fruition
