The only way for you to know if you are ovulating is to take your basal body temp each morn, same time and before you get up. You should see a pattern in temps that leads up to and after ovulation. You can get the basal thermometer at Wal-Mart for about 8 dollars. I use a wonderful FREE website called Fertilityfriend.com...it graphs your temps for you, keeps track of your fertility signs, tells you when you ovulate and also tells you if there is an implantation dip in your temps. You can also use Ovulation prediction kits, but they only measure your LH surge and give you a ball park time for ovulation...they do not pin point it. Oh, and it is possible to be ovulating while you do not have your period, just like it is possible to have a period and not ovulate.

very carefully. if you really are not ready for children don't do this. although for some people it can be highly effective for others it is not at all. particularly since new research as found information that women can and do ovulate more than once a month. but other wise family planning is done using one of or most effectively all of these ways of finding cues of when your body ovulates. first is taking your temp everyday (basal body temp) must be same time ever day before you get out of bed. second is to check your cervical mucus ever day and chart that (mucus that looks like egg whites is fertile mucus), then you chart all the information down into a chart (check out something http://www.fertilityfriend.com/ although for conceiving it can be used to help you not) so that's pretty much sums it up. I'd get a book if i were you if your serious about. you need to know about what your temp does and what it means what the different types of mucus means, you can also check the location of your cervix (is it sitting high or low?) and there are other little bits of info as well.

No it would not artwork properly in any respect. the subject with organic family members making plans is a multitude of issues. For one undertaking, sperm can final interior the female for over a week, that's extra effective than sufficient time for the womans physique to recover from menstration or sessions of infertility. Ovulation can sometimes ensue for the period of sessions too! On common, this way of "beginning administration" fails and the couple develop into mothers and dads. So, except you're keen to 'probable get pregnant' than that's not the perspective for you.

I like what Kelly said!
I use condoms, but there are also ovulating predictors you can get at stores ( I even get mine at the dollar tree! or wal mart) But if you want free, temperature is the way to go. You can also go to any planned parenthood and ask for tips, advise, condoms, (or any other form of contraceptive like the nuva ring) pregnancy tests, and just about anything that has to do with the subject for free.
As a general guideline , I tend to ovulate about a week after my period. Be careful if you go natural. or just pull out before ejaculation. you really have to stay on top of things!
Condoms are great and free at several places! no mess, no worry, no side affects, no disease, potable, and he usually will last longer during intercourse for you! (not 100% effective though, but hardly anything is!)

That's exactly what you do. You just have sex on days that you aren't ovulating or close to it--normally that way you don't end up pregnant but there are always surprises. My friend's parents used this method for eleven years without getting pregnant--then they had a blessing. While it's a good method you still have to be prepared for pregnancy.

if u don't want to use the pills, they have the birth control patch and other types of method.
the withdrawal method can work, thats when your husband/boyfriend takes his penis out of you when he ejaculates.
checking your basal body temperature at the same time every morning can tell u when u are ovulating.
when u use the natural method be prepared to get pregnant. i know taking the pill is annoying and can be a small hassle, but the natural method involves more work, you have to do a lot of planning and recording. you have to be very careful everytime u do it. u can't get lazy.
